There are hundreds of thousands of apartments in Brooklyn in dire need of a renovation.  Spaces built 30-40 years ago lack the amenities we come to expect in today’s homes.  Material options have changed immensely and who doesn’t want a bright, clean, fresh home?  This apartment was a perfect opportunity to bring an aging space back to life.

With a galley kitchen, dated bathroom and minimal closet space, this apartment was easily transformed.  New glass floor and wall tile in the bathroom provided a spa-like feel and a large mirror and pedestal sink gave a much needed “openness” to an otherwise cramped space.  The kitchen was opened up by removing 2 partition walls, adding new recessed and under cabinet lighting and providing for an eat at peninsula.  New cabinets, appliances, cork floor and a glass backsplash were a welcomed improvement.  The custom granite top was oversized on the peninsula to provide plenty of work space while still being able to interact with guests in the rest of the apartment. Custom closets cabinets were installed in both bedrooms increasing storage space dramatically.  Finally, the existing hollow core doors were replaced with solid units with a decorative arched design.
