We were approached by architect and designer Olga Bakic with a classic New York bathroom project for her client. This project embodies the timeless beauty and elegance of the classic New York apartment as well as addressing the spacial issues forever present in Manhattan… all while keeping the functionality and desires of the client front and center.

Featuring a mosaic marble floor, custom cabinetry with built in lighting and a hierarchy of trim work, the bathroom was transformed into a sanctuary for the client to escape the daily grind of the city.

Highlights of the project include shower accessory niches within the enclosure, a functioning transom window above the entry door that enhances ventilation as well as providing a light into the apartment’s core hallway.

Additionally, a reclaimed marble countertop was refinished and now serves as the windows sill and a single pendant dropped from the ceiling makes the 10′ ceilings feel cozy and inviting.

The soaking tub was dropped into a custom enclosure to match the tile detail and was capped off with a frameless glass door with simple pull hardware.
