ABOUT THE PROJECT
Dark wood cabinets, a broken electric stove and awkward peninsula made this kitchen seem much smaller then it was.
OUR SOLUTION
A custom live edge, walnut island provided more flow and storage. Hand built teal and white cabinets, with soft close drawers and glass knobs added to this custom look. A new window above the sink provides a view to the backyard. Open shelves and a pair of glass doors flanking the sink increased the expansive feel of the kitchen. The electric stove was replaced by a flush gas cook top in the island and a double wall oven. A large florescent light and incongruous ceiling sconces were updated with recessed lighting and mercury glass pedants with Edison lightbulbs.
